We once were a team…FIRETEAM ELITE

More than friends who would occasionally meet

Tight like brothers and sisters

The Mrs. And the misters

In to a cabin we would go

Look it’s time to put on a show

Then off to a DT

To gather the intel…it must be

And from time to time

We would play elimination

Kill Creek most of the time

And others on occasion

We were the closest of friends

And we will be until the end

For even though many of us have taken upon new name

We will still be the closest of friends in the same

We will still run a cabin

Kill the zombies and give our team one big win

Play a DT

So yet another mask will be given unto me

Then off to another elim

To see which team will win

My friends I want you to know

Of all of you I am happy I got to know

I am glad to have met each and every one of you

To me your friendship really is true

A life can be existent yet paused at the same time

The heart may beat to a depressing rhyme

Walking around in sorrow

Waiting for a brighter day tomorrow

Yet one day that life may start

Love will give it a jump start

For when a life that was down in the darkness

Is pulled into the brightness

A blinding takes over

None, for a moment, can see

This has happened to me

Yet now the blindness is over

I can see clearly now

I can see my life changing and how

Life taking upon a new start

Putting the past behind

From the old now must this life part

Not looking back…not looking behind

A new beginning is what I seek

Going into it not so mild…not so meek

A new life has now begun

I finally feel that in this life I have won

Hard it may be to start anew

Yet I can do it, this I know is true

For it is like a flower taking upon new form

This life must now conform

Or the new of the dew

Upon the grass every morning

The new of the dew

As the birds so gloriously are singing

It is like the sun shining down feeding new life

Starting anew in this life

INTRODUCTION

Growing up we start out as such innocent creatures of life. We look at the world in a light that no one else can understand. We may look at a butterfly and think it is the most magical being in the world. As we watch this butterfly we may follow it around waiting in anticipation to see where this magnificent being will land. Little do we know that we are all butterflies growing up and God watches us in amazement. He watches us to see us fly around in our journey we call life and waits to see where we will land. All God wants is for us to land in his hands, so each day he looks after us holding out his hands waiting in anticipation. Sometimes, in life, we may run into hard weather but God is always there to guide us through the storms of life. He walks side by side with us guiding us with his hands. We just need to learn to trust in the Lord and know that all will be well.

Even though I did not realize it sometimes, God was walking me through my life. He protected me from harm and got me out of some rough situations. As you will read in this book, I went through some hard times in my life. Many times, when I was going through the rough storms, I thought I was alone, but I wasn’t. God was there with me, watching over me, I just did not realize it at the time.

Growing up, my mom and dad raised me well and instilled great values in me. For a time, I was raised in church but as I got older I slipped away from time to time, until one day I went back and stayed. I started to write when I was 14 years old. One day I was sitting there watching a movie and words came to my head. I wrote them down and it was then that I realized that I liked writing my feelings down. I continued to write throughout my life. I wrote of love, life and pain. When I got older I decided to publish my first book “Unknown Love”, which is basically the story of my life from child to womanhood written in poetry form. Two years later I published “The Light Will Shine Through”, which is a collection of poetry I wrote within a year’s time.

I wrote this book to tell my story. Growing up and as a young adult, I went through some things that still weigh on my mind to this day. I figured that writing about it would help me to get it out. In this book you will read about some of the relationships I had as a young adult, the molestations that I endured when I was a child, and some other things that I went through. This is my survival story and how I survived With God’s Hands.

Many times over I have expressed the way I feel

Saying that my feelings were true…that they were real

Many times I thought they were

Now I am unsure

For I have found a love much greater than ever before

One that makes me tingle and my heart sore

One that I want to be with forever more

And one that I want to love forever more

So I ask you this …

Have you ever experienced a love that causes you extreme bliss?

Have you ever had a love so great

That when you are not around them in any way your heart just plain aches

That when you speak to them your heart skips a beat

Your body fills with a cooling heat

Well I have experienced this kind of love

And in no way will I ever give it a shove

I will run freely to this love

Open up my arms, heart, body and soul to this love

For I am infatuated and elated with the way it makes me feel

Knowing that I am loved through and through this time for real

For when I listen to the words said

I know that they are not just to fill my head

They are sincere, compassionate and true of all nature

This is the kind of love that is developed and mature

The kind that has learned from life experience

The kind as if from a time of renaissance

Pure love is what is after me

So I say let it be

Let me love and be loved

Forever do I want to be loved

Forever do I want to give my love

Forever do I want to give my love

For the feelings that I get inside

Every time this love is by my side

Are so immense to contain

That I want to tell all who remain

To let them know the way I feel

And KNOW that this time it is most definitely real

I can honestly say that I am deeply in love

That of me this love is genuinely in love

I knew I would make the right choice

My heart skipped a beat from the moment you spoke

The sound of your voice gets me going

The thought of your touch sends tingles throughout my body

Sending me into ecstasy

Daydreaming of the day we meet

Even when I take time to ponder

I think of how we will be together

And wonder if it will be forever

The dew from the grass that gently glides along our feet
