I am lost without you
For without you…
I hear not the birds singing in the morning
I hear not the crickets singing in the evening
I hear not the sweet silence
Yet the impact of sound waves so infinitely intense.
I am lost without you

I feel not the dew upon the morning grass
Yet walk upon the deadened, brittle grass
I feel not the warmth of the sun shining down upon me
Yet the bitter cold of the absent sun, I once did see.
I am lost without you

I see not the blossoms of the spring in the new
I see not the buds on the trees that once grew
I see not the moon shinning in the night
Yet the absence of this guiding light.
I am lost without you

I taste not the sweet nectar of your once felt kiss
Yet taste, of everything that my lips caress
The inconsiderate sweet bitterness.

I hear the ever ringing, out of tune bells
I feel the never ending disturbing spells
I see not the gentle wind of the beautiful fall
I taste, not anything at all

A TICKING TIME BOMB

A ticking time bomb ready to explode
Feeling inside a massive overload
Full of emotions one can’t imagine
A ticking time bomb with no connection
Spending much time in constant reflection
Thinking things I never did imagine.
What to do in this situation
Run, hide, become invisible, with no recollection
A ticking time bomb ready to explode

What is this mind-set that I experience?
Recalling thoughts of the time of renascence
Are they past life views of extraordinary happiness?
For in my mind they make no sense.
In my mind I see the pain that was caused
And the joy of a life that has unfortunately paused
Ready to burst I run and hide
For I want not, with more rejection, to collide.
And thus I am a ticking time bomb ready to explode
Feeling inside a massive overload
Confusion and wants I have inside
So now to gain the joy I seek
I must reach out and no longer hide
I must open my mouth, and to the world speak.
Yet what will come out of this mouth
That is ready to talk and get this out
Will this bomb go off in a blink of an eye?
When words are spoken to you from I
Afraid to let go of these feelings that I hold
For inside I am not that extravagantly bold

And at times I feel that I can not share
The judgment that I hold in here
For day to day I judge myself

HEY ALL JUST STOPPING IN TO SAY HI TO ALL MY READERS…..SORRY I HAVE NOT POSTED ANYTHING IN A WHILE, I HAVE BEEN REAL BUSY. I WILL BE FINISHING MY SECOND BOOK IN ABOUT TWO WEEKS AND THEN SENDING IT OUT TO THE PUBLISHER. YAY!!! GRADUATION…NEW BEGINNING

In this time which is a new beginning

It is a time for winning and not losing

It is a time to take everything

And make it forever lasting

Remember your friends

For they will always be your friends

Remember all the good times

Remember all the bad times

For these consume your life

These will shape your upcoming life

You may say to yourself “I don’t want anything to be different”

“I don’t want to take anything for granted”

I AM NO POET

This angel fell from Heaven and has endured a lot

To find true love, which she believed was not

I am no poet, but what I want to say

Is that you are an angel

I love your poems

I love the way you moan

When I massage your feet or back

And I love your bow-legged walk

I love the way you snort, when you laugh with me

And I love the way you take care of your family

I love your eyes, they are so beautiful

And your smile that is so beautiful

I love how you sneeze several times in a row

Simply put, Mrs. David Adams, I love you so.

YOU ARE A POET

You are no poet, you say

Yet, I say, we all are…in our own way

When you write them down

I love the way your words sound.

I love when you express the way you feel

In a way you know it to be real.

And yet you say you are no poet

Just for the simple way you wrote it

Yet, the formations of your words are theatrical

They are, beautiful and symmetrical

They are you

They are how you express you

And everyone has their own meter

Everyone has their own measure

To how they say the way they feel

And it is that simplistic rhythm

That to them

Night after night

Day after day

One thought after another

Does anyone even bother?

To look at me that way?

Perfect body incandescent

Lined with a flawless accent

Perfect face

Molded with lace

Inside filled with grace

Can’t get enough

Whether it’s smooth

Whether it’s rough

Got to have her

So perfect

So elegant

Got to have her

This woman I love.

The day has passed

Where I felt this way

Now alas

I’m covered in gray

Melted shell

Gone to hell

Curdled insides

Now collide

Destroyed from the inside out

Filled with so much doubt

Night after night

One thought after another

Does anyone ever bother?

THE LIGHT WILL SHINE THROUGH

In times like this

In times of bliss

Of happiness and pain

Through sunshine and rain

No matter what you may be going through

Know that the light will always shine through

When what lay at your feet, is the world ahead

Yet you can’t seem to drag yourself out of bed

When you are blessed with all that surrounds

Yet seem as though you are all alone

Know that the light will always shine through

You may feel as though everything is in your reach

Yet for you so far out of reach

That you are everything

Yet nothing

And at times you may feel as though time is slipping by

Looking back at the days passed and wanting to cry

Knowing that things are forever going to change

Wondering if there will be anything that will stay the same

Yet know this, you must do

And with each new experience that comes into your life

TWO THOUSAND AND SEVEN

What I learned in two thousand and seven

Is that every day is a new chance to start again

There is always a chance for a new beginning

Every time the morning birds are singing

And what I learned is that some things may come easy

While the others may come hard

And while some things can be fixed with a card

Others don’t repair that easy

Yet if you take each day with a fresh step

Make it a point to create that new start

Then each day you will be able to recollect

The pieces of your heart.

Each day you will walk each foot one further

While the rough edges become slowly smoother

And I have learned that if you look someone in the eye

No longer will you be withdrawn

No longer will you be shy

Yet seek each day for the new dawn

And as courage you find

Press, always, to be kind.

What I learned in two thousand and seven

Is that you need not strive to get even

Love as you wish to be loved

And pull near everyone

Give not to any, a shove

Love and forgive

Give yourself the chance to truly live

Hold not onto grudges

And give not any nudges

For what I have learned in two thousand and seven
